Spooky Story Contest: 4/5 Winner

Congratulations to our winners! All levels, Kindergarten through 8th grade, were given the same challenge to write a Spooky Story! The following is from our 4/5 class:

The Haunted Nolan

By Colin Renas

One day in school, Nolan acted crazy so I told Nolan to go to that scary black house in Cape Charles. So me, Nolan, and Masen went to the house and I said, “Nolan, why are you acting crazy?”

“I have problems,” Nolan said.

“Okay,” said Masen. So we went inside the scary house and Nolan locked the door.

“Why did you do that?” Masen asked. Nolan started to turn into a big hairy, fast wolf that could run on two feet. So, Masen and I ran upstairs, and we tried to get out of a window, but it was stuck. We were looking for something to break the window. Masen found a hammer. He picked up the hammer and broke the window, but we were too high. I found some rope and we tied it to a piano and we climbed down, out the window, and down the rope. When we got down, we called 911 and told them there is a wolf that could stand on two feet and they went into the house and put Nolan in jail.
